Grading Policy
Please encourage your child to be a self-advocate and talk to his/her teacher(s) about any assignments they may have questions about.
Grading Scale-
Homework Policy
Students should expect to have homework each night:
Read for 30-minutes.
Complete assigned literacy activities (reading response, spelling, vocabulary, etc.)
Some type of math homework every night, that is used to review and reinforce objectives covered.
Study multiplication facts every night.

Grading Scale-
- A = 100%-90% Excellent Performance
- B = 89%-80% Very Good Performance
- C = 79%-70% Satisfactory Performance
- D = 69%-60% Low Performance
- F = 59% and below Unsatisfactory Performance
- Missing assignments will be noted in PowerSchool with an M and a score of 50. These markings are signals that a student has not turned in the assignment.
- When the missing assignment is turned in the grade will be changed in PowerSchool.
- Work that is turned in after the due date (not as a result of an excused absence) will result in a 5 point per day deduction.
- Students who score below a 70% on a formal assessment (test) will be given the opportunity to retest or make corrections following additional practice/instruction.
- The maximum score a student can receive on a retest is 70%.
